Queensland - Australia’s Sunkissed Coast
Queensland's Sunshine Coast is a total lavish experience. With a postcard-flawless coastline and a hinterland of moving rainforests, this area is flooded with energetic shading.
This smooth coastline town was an ideal spot to camp myself while investigating all that the Sunshine Coast brings to the table. The sunsets were absolutely unreal and my favorite part of the trip was laying on the beach and watching the sun set.
I visited Mooloolaba, about 40 minutes away. It is a sentimental spot to invest some energy with its bounty of new lunch spots, cordial local people and a stretch of the most flawless shoreline I could ever place my bum on.
Brisbane is one of the most beautiful cities in Australia and is the place you want to be in the evening. Before the sunset, we hiked up Mount Coo-tha to this beautiful overlook of Brisbane. The view was absolutely unreal and I wish I could have stayed there forever.
If you're interested in Brisbane history, and rail, trains at all, then the Brisbane Tramway Museum is a must see activity. The volunteers I met at the Brisbane Tramway Museum are incredibly knowledgeable and have been meticulous in bringing several of Brisbane's historic trams back to life - the oldest being from the early 1900s. I rode each of the streetcars and learned about their history. In addition to the trams, there are several other impressive historical Brisbane transport displays. It was a learning journey indeed, and entertaining too. An absolute once in a lifetime experience.
I tried local's favorite Gainsbourg for good eats and friendly vibes and then headed downtown to refuel myself with a full meal. As I was walking downtown, I came across an amazing street food market called Boundary Street Markets. There was a very wide variety of mouth-watering food made by local farmers and chefs! I had a huge bacon-cheeseburger and also grabbed some Nutella crepes for dessert! I would highly recommend any foodies to hit up the Boundary Street Markets if you’re ever in Brisbane!
The Cooloola area of Great Sandy National Park is a mind-boggling combination. I have encountered various scenery and surfaces. In case you're short on schedule, an ideal approach to meet this heavenly stretch of land in one day is on a guided car tour, or you could cover less ground on horseback. If you have a few extra days, I’d recommend relaxing on these crystal-clear beaches!
During my trip I stayed at the amazing Nightfall Wilderness Camp. This resort was like no other I had ever experience before! Check out my review for it here!
